Toastr makes video transcoding boxes. They are hardware-based, high-performance, low-power, low-noise and most importantly, low-cost. One Toastr can transcode 4K HEVC Main Profile in realtime without hearing a fan spin. Toastrs are also scalable - daisy-chain Toastrs to split the workload - 8K? 800 KBPS? 1000 FPS? 60-bit Color? Lossless? Just add more Toastrs and one Toastmaster to delegate. The Toastmaster could split the video into separate scenes for the Toastrs to transcode, it could split the picture into 8 parts, send it to Toast and then stitch it back up or even split the workload into frames and then package it into a video. Toastrs are archival-grade transcoders but could be and have been used for broadcast due to their efficiency and scalability. We currently support UT, FFV1, PNG/TIFF + WAV/FLAC/PCM, FLM, Opus, H.264, H.265.
