building cognitive machines

About

micropsi industries is a software startup with roots in the artificial general intelligence community, building autonomous software agents and researching true cognitive machines. Micropsi, the cognitive architecture used in micropsi industries’ agents, defines a neuro-symbolic representation mechanism blending semantic reasoning and neural learning, emotional modulation of perception and action, as well as a motivation model for generating learning signals. Based in Berlin, Germany, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, micropsi industries' theoretical foundations lie in the work of Joscha Bach, a cognitive scientist who's currently a research fellow at the MIT Media Lab and part of Harvard's Program for Evolutionary Dynamics. micropsi industries aims to deliver a first tech demo in late 2015.
